An Evening with the Gainey Family raises $155,000!

The Gainey Foundation is pleased to announce that Tuesday nights’ concert at Metropolis was a tremendous success, raising $155,000.

The event, hosted by Marc Denis, brought together on stage the St-John’s-based Great Big Sea, Sam Roberts, Michel Rivard, Nikki Yanofsky, Charlypop, Sara Johnston,Shane Murphy and Kris Newby, for one incredible evening.

Anna Gainey said, “We would like to thank everyone who joined us on Tuesday night for making the evening so much fun. We are especially grateful to all of the artists who performed as well as to the volunteers, GEG and the sponsors who made the event possible.”

Established in memory of Cathy and Laura Gainey, the Gainey Foundation is committed to supporting charitable organizations across Canada that offer environmental education and arts education programs for youth.
