After the huge success of the first Gainey Foundation fundraising event held in Bob Gainey’s hometown of Peterborough, Ontario, we are extremely pleased to announce that the Foundation will host a fundraising concert at the Metropolis in Montreal on June 24th.
For this Montreal premiere, the St-John’s-based, Juno-nominated band, Great Big Sea and hometown rock singer-songwriter Sam Roberts and will co-headline the evening.

All of their albums have gone gold, and several are multi-platinum. The band is thrilled to release their new album entitled Fortune’s Favour on the same day as the show.
The Sam Roberts Band recently performed during the second intermission of the NHL’s Winter Classic 2008 Outdoor game held in Buffalo, NY. The band will release their new album Love at the End of the World on May 20th.
Joining the evening will be one of Quebec’s most celebrated and loved singer-songwriter’s, Michel Rivard, Montreal young singer Nikki Yanofsky, beatbox and comedian Charlypop, Bran Van 3000’s singer Sara Johnston, local artistShane Murphy and the event will be hosted by Marc Denis.
